HDR ( High Dynamic Range) refers to a technology that displays a wider range of light and dark colors on a screen. When this technology is implemented it creates a more realistic output through your video gaming experience. For example when a human emerges from a darker area into a lighter area they experience a "bloom" effect which makes it hard to see. HDR implements this affect into the video game. When the player does this sort of action it will create this bloom effect that we experience in the real world. This also helps the shading from light to dark and the variations of brightness.
The use of HDR creates an output of more realistic situations when viewing the videos game's world. The items in the game become more life like and create better amount of detail in the objects.

Doors
Another bad design that I've came across is a set of doors at a friends house. The front door leads to a small hallway which has two other doors that you can enter. One of the doors is on the left side and the other door is straight ahead.
The problem I have with this is the front door opens on the left side but the door straight ahead opens from the right. The first time I entered this house I was confused because I naturally expected the door to open on the same side. I would say that the only good part of the design is that both doors open in-ward so there's never a time were the doors are hitting each other but the flaws are clear.

Ice Trays
I believe that one of the worst designs of all time may be the ice tray. I say this for a few reasons. For one my sink was never placed next to the refrigerator and was a short walk to and from the two points. Why this was a problem was because when walking back to place the tray into my freezer I was almost always would spill some on the way back. There was no real fill line or desired point where you stop filling it up but for some reason I always went a little more than you probably needed and would always cause this to happen. Another reason is because the how many times has anyone not been able to get the ice out of the tray. I always end up twisting to flex the plastic or bang it against a hard surface to get it out. New refrigerators have a built in ice dispenser so it pretty much took away the use for them now but that was always one of the worst designs that came to mind.
